Shang & Zhou Dynasties

The Shang dynasty (c. 1600–1046 BCE) established many foundations of Chinese civilization, including bronze metallurgy, oracle bone divination, and the earliest Chinese writing system.

The Zhou dynasty that followed introduced the Mandate of Heaven concept and presided over both political innovation and the eventual fragmentation that sparked philosophical revolution.
