The Mesozoic Era, spanning 252 to 66 million years ago, is known as the Age of Reptiles. It is divided into three periods: Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous, each hosting distinct dinosaur communities.
During this time, Earth's continents gradually separated from the supercontinent Pangaea, creating new environments and evolutionary pressures that drove dinosaur diversification.
