Zeroth & First Laws
The Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics establishes thermal equilibrium as a transitive relationship, allowing us to define temperature. The First Law is the conservation of energy applied to thermodynamic systems.
Together, these laws provide the framework for understanding how energy moves between systems as heat and work, and why energy is never lostβonly transformed.
