How It Works
Understand the PromptKey learning model and how all the pieces fit together.
The Learning Loop
PromptKey follows a learn → practice → build cycle:
📖
1. Learn
Read structured lessons with code examples, diagrams, and explanations. Build conceptual understanding.
⚡
2. Practice
Apply concepts through missions (engineering tickets) and workshops. Get hands-on with real code.
🏗️
3. Build
Combine skills in capstone projects. Create portfolio-worthy applications that demonstrate mastery.
Content Types
- Lessons — Structured educational content organized into modules. Each lesson covers a specific topic with explanations, code examples, and key takeaways.
- Missions — Engineering tickets with acceptance criteria. Solve them in a live sandbox and get automated validation. Earn XP on completion.
- Workshops — Guided coding exercises focused on building specific tools or systems. More structured than missions, with step-by-step guidance.
- Projects — Larger capstone builds combining multiple modules. These produce portfolio-ready applications.
Progression System
As you complete content, you earn XP that contributes to your rank. The system tracks lessons completed, missions solved, community contributions, and streaks. See XP & Ranks for details.
